    Putting any external URL such as [http://www.yahoo.com] or [http://www.yahoo.com | Yahoo] in single square brackets produces this error:

    The XML page cannot be displayed

    Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

    Only one top level element is allowed in an XML document. Error processing resource 'http://www.myname.com/L42/tiki-editpage.php'. Line 2, Position 2

    <b>Warning</b>: strstr(): Empty delimiter. in <b>/home/myname/public_html/tikiwiki/lib/tikilib.php</b> on line <b>4084</b><br

    This is in Tiki version 1.8 as installed with a Fantastico script provided by my webhost.

    Can anyone give me some clues as to what might be causing this and how to fix it?

    Easy answer:

    Stop using Internet Explorer :-)

    Look at the site in a different browser and you will actually be able to see the error message which will give us a clue on how to debug it further.

    However, there are many posts already that the Fantastico auto-install is in fact not-so fantastico, and has caused problems. You will be better doing a manually install to check as well.
