How to link cart products and wiki pages?

Hi,

it was fairly easy to link from a wiki page into a cart product (tracker item), but the other way round won't work.

Adding a link in Wiki syntax in the description textarea works in the tracker item view (tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=nn), but the meta page cart product doesn't do it (tiki-index.php?page=cart+product&itemId=nn), it will only show the links text. How do I have to modify cart product to resolve Wiki syntax?

Also, is there a way to make the global search output not the view_tracker_item, but the much nicer looking cart product page? This not just about looks, the cart product page has the ability to place the item into the cart, which view_tracker_item does not.

And I am still looking for a way to make categories searchable, so users can enter a category name (from products) to view all members of that category.

Thanks for your help

...just saw the the properties of the tracker field 'description' has the checkbox whether or not content is wiki parsed. Checking this checkbox doesn't change anything...

okay, got a little confused. The checkbox is only to indicate the description of the tracker field contains wiki syntax, not the tracker field's entry (the tracker field is also named description...). So this leads me nowhere. Still looking to find a way to make tiki product parse links...

Hi hman

Looks like the product wiki page list plugin was missing format="trackerrender" for the description (which will wiki-parse the text), i added it to the profile page here so you'll need to add it in your product item wiki page too...

Hey, thanks! That does the trick, it instantly worked. Again, thanks.

Got any info regarding the global search and search for category questions I also had in this posting?

Also, another question, that I forgot to write down: How can I make use of the plugin Shopper Info? As I see, this will be necessary if anonymous are allowed to shop. But the documentation of this plugin is a little... basic. The interface is described, but no examples are given, nor can I find any elsewhere on tiki.org. How do I collect the basic data like name, address, zip, city, country etc and in a way that it does not collide with the data that is available for registered users? After all I will need this to write some code that could build the invoice.

Thanks
hman
