Styling the Title and Adding a Footer?

United States

Hello,
Can I change the size and position of my title (see attached image)? I definitely want the font to be bigger, as right now it is pretty small relative to the rest of the site. I may also (haven't decided yet) want to move the title and tagline to the center of the site, and move the search box to the topbar all the way to the right. How do I do this? When I move the search bar to the topbar, it positions itself in the center of the bar. Is there a way to fix this?

Also, I would like to have a persistent footer for the site containing some important links (like Terms of Service and a Disclaimer), similar to the list of links at the bottom of every page on this site. Here's what I'm talking about:

Terms of Service | Disclaimer| etc.

Very simple, one line. Is there a module to be able to add text and links to the footer/how can I easily do this? I'm new to tiki and webdesign so the simpler the better. Thank you ahead of time for helping.

Hi Evan

To change the styling you can use custom CSS in the look & feel control panel customisations tab.

I usually do footers with a wiki page using the "Menu Page" (-+menupage+-) module as then i can give non-admins permissions to be able to edit is on their own.

Alternatively you can use a custom module using either wiki syntax, or smarty/html if you know what you're doing, but note you can sometime lock yourself out of your tiki if you make any particularly bad syntax errors (and then you'll have to resort fo direct database access to fix it).

See Module Admin and Creating Custom Modules for more...

Thank you for the help - I got the footer working! Unfortunately I don't know CSS so I guess I'll have to change the title later.

Hi Evan!

It's actually pretty simple (to learn CSS) and it is just a matter of playing with your browser code inspect and copy pasting the values there but if you need any help, consider hiring a consultant. See:
